Suson Park

Yesterday, I was doing stuff around the house. I had the windows open and was enjoying the beautiful weather. I decided that we could not waste the day away just hanging around the house cleaning up messes and doing laundry. I asked Carson & Reagan what they thought about going to kidnap Annie from school for the afternoon, and we could go to the park. They were all over that idea! So, we did! Annie was shocked to see us at school to get her but quickly was excited to leave. We went to Suson Park and enjoyed the afternoon by looking at all of the animals. They had two brand new calves and the tiniest baby bunnies. From there, we went to the playground to finish off our afternoon of fun. Every once in a while it is fun to surprise the kids. Who knows what the day will bring?! You just might get to leave school early and do something fun! Probably not, but you never know!

Sweet Annie

Annie came home from school one day last week and was very concerned. Her friend Alena didn't have a Bible! Annie was so worried about this and immediately decided that she wanted to get one for her. We went to the book store over the weekend, and she found the perfect Bible. It was hot pink with a bright orange stripe on it. Perfect! Annie could not wait to get home and write Alena's name in it. She carefully packed it in her backpack and took it to school Monday morning. Alena loved it! She was thrilled that she had her own now and didn't have to borrow Mrs. Kellermann's.
We are very proud of Annie! She loves to give!

Church Birdhouse

This story is a few months old, but I thought I would add it to the blog anyway. Carson got a birdhouse kit for Christmas. He was quick to let us know that this was not just any ol' birdhouse. This was a church birdhouse! It had a cross to put right on the top. Once he had built the church birdhouse he was so happy. Now the birds could go to church. Something I didn't know....Carson had secret plans for the birds that would come to his church birdhouse.
The same afternoon the he had completed his project, we had to go to school for after care. He went straight to Mrs. Walker (principal at the christian school) and told her all about how his birds could go to church. I was standing there being a proud Mommy when I heard the story change. The secret plans were coming out! Carson continued on to say that once the birds went in to the birdhouse, he was going to shoot them with his nerf gun and kill them. It would be okay though, they would go to heaven since they were in a church. I could have died!
